3rd event in the McCain UK Mountain Running Challenge.
Registration will be at a marquee located centrally within Glenridding. Public toilets available. Parking in Glenridding is mainly pay and display.
Runners must bring full windproof body cover, hat and gloves which must be carried during the race.
Important note: Runners have to make their own way back to Glenridding village from the race finishes. It is strongly recommended that you follow the race route back to Greenside mines (point C on map), then follow Greenside Lane back to the village (C-D-S on map). The distances back to the village from the finishes are Senior Men 7km, Senior Women/Junior Men 6km, Junior Women 4km. There will be no provision of drink or food at the finish, runners must make their own arrangements or carry food/drink if they require it. A water station will be provided at Greenside Mine (point C on map) for all three races.
The courses may be amended in the event of bad weather.
We are looking for helpers to marshal at this event. If you can help out, please contact Mark Johnston using the contact details above. Many thanks!
