Permanent ban for Chris Barnes

UK Athletics (UKA) published on 20th June 2025 a disciplinary case report on Chris Barnes. 
 
Here is the link to the UKA disciplinary panel report.
 
The FRA has reviewed the findings of the report and as a UKA-affiliated organisation can confirm that Chris Barnes is permanently banned from participating in “any or all roles” of FRA licensed races and events. The sanction includes:

Annual General Meeting in October 2025

The Annual General Meeting of the Fell Running Association will again this year be held following the Langdale Horseshoe on the 11th of October.  The meeting will be held in Langdale Village Hall in Chapel Stile from 4pm.  A further reminder about the meeting will be made nearer the time, including the agenda.

FRA is looking for additional Race Liaison Officers to recruit

The Fell Runners Association licences approximately 500 fell races each year, including six English senior and six junior championship races.
