A very select number of runners, some being put
off, perhaps, by the weather, which, as it happened
cleared in time for the race, others recovering from
the World Masters and the proximity of races at
the following week-end.  Nimrod Lockwood was
second to the top but had a great descent to
overtake Mike Cunningham and win his first race.
